Meet Tracy Paulson, president of Creating Your Style Ltd, a Naperville fashion accessory company that was established in December of 2004. Here's her story...
Located at 116 S. Webster in downtown Naperville, this direct sales company has several independent consultants who conduct home shows, fund raisers in schools and hospitals, office shows, bridal fairs and expos.
Tracy's fast growing company offers a great opportunity for those who want to work with others but own their own business. Creating Your Style offers the latest in fashion accessories such as handbags, scarves, watches and more — at very affordable prices. When asked what makes her business so alluring to both potential consultants and clients, she said, "Our business is cash and carry so our customers can purchase and take it with them at our shows. This makes it much more gratifying than shopping online and our accessories are truly unique so they would be hard to find in an average department store. This is in part why I opened my own showroom."
The showroom, located in downtown Naperville, opened in October and is open to guests Monday through Saturday from 1-3 pm and on Sundays by appointment only. "We are members of the Naperville Chamber of Commerce which has been a wonderful resource for us. We participated in the Holiday Showcase Business After Hours and now we have chamber members who also love our accessories!" Tracy went on to say. In Tracy's spare time, she enjoys reading. "I am currently reading "The Pampered Chef by the founder Doris Christopher. This has been a great inspiration for me. I became a single mom and I needed to fill my weekends but still have the flexibility to get my kids after school. This inspiration helped me to start Creating Your Style, and a year later we have 33 consultants in 6 states. I would like to offer this business opportunity to those everywhere and have showrooms across the country. This reminds me of a quote by Emily Dickinson- "I dwell in possibility."
